DIAN, RENE
"L'Heure Sanguine" Leader
-DECEASED- |

|
In 1984, along with some other
extremist students of Paris University, he formed a radical activist group called
"L'Heure Sanguine" -- the "Bloody Hour." During a bombing in which
several people died, all the activists escaped except for one Michael
Samuelle. He was sent to prison where he supposedly died. After many years, Rene
resurfaces and Michael, now a Section operative, recognizes his work and attempts to
protect him. Michael feels obligated to protect Rene since Rene took in Michaels
sister after his arrest and provided for her. Once Rene is apprehended he attempts to
deflect their interest in him and his small group by saying he works for Red Cell. Michael
knows this is unlikely and is unsure whether he will be able to carry out the profile to
eliminate Rene and whats left of his organization. Michael uses Rene to lead him to
the remaining members of the organization and then Section teams take them out. Before he
dies Rene becomes clearly aware of Michaels betrayal. Rene Dian is profiled in S2
"Half Life". |
