Were Section One to take him out, The Book would automatically be released. Mission profile requires the seduction of Fanning’s emotionally unstable wife, Lisa. Once the Intel is recovered, Fanning is captured and recruited into Section One. Fanning returns in S2 “Double Date” where Fanning poses as a hit man Nicolai Kusko has used before. Fanning tags him so that Section can take out Kusko. During mission egress, Fanning captures Nikita and orders Michael to find his wife Lisa.
